How do I Register?
If you're already on the housing register, you will automatically
be registered with the new scheme and placed into an appropriate
band. If you're a new applicant, you will need to fill in a
form to join the housing register. We will work out your housing
need and place you into one of three bands - Gold, Silver or
Bronze or in certain circumstances; we will issue a Priority
Card.
Registration Date
The length of time you have been registered with us is
important if more than one person in the same band applies for
an advertised home.
When you join the scheme you will be given a 'registration date'.
This date will be determined in the following way:
- If you are already on our housing register, the date of
your original registration will be your registration date
- If you're already our tenant and looking for a transfer,
the date will be the day we receive your transfer request
- If you move home voluntarily after sending in your registration,
you will need to fill in a new form so that we can look
again at your housing need. In this case, your registration
date will be when we receive your new form
- If you have to move, say because your tenancy comes to
an end, then the original date will still apply
- If you have a Priority Card, the registration date will
be the day it was issued
